Raising Mature Saints for Kingdom Impact

Teleos Academy is the outreach ministry of The Finishing Church, dedicated to training and equipping believers to attain spiritual maturity and fulfill their God-given mandate. Established as a cornerstone of The Finishing Church’s mission, the Academy is a response to the biblical call in Ephesians 4:11-16 to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” and guide them toward becoming Christlike.

At the heart of Teleos Academy lies a vision to see every believer grow into maturity and actively participate in God’s purposes on earth. The Academy exists to fulfill The Finishing Church’s overarching mandate: to train and prepare the saints to bring all of God’s plans to completion while demonstrating Christ’s character and mission in every sphere of influence.

Teleos Academy offers two transformative programmes designed to empower believers across the world:

  1. The School of Maturity: This programme focuses on equipping believers to grow into the fullness of Christ. Participants are immersed in foundational teachings, discipleship practices, and spiritual disciplines that foster growth in faith, character, and godliness. The goal is to help believers pursue and achieve maturity in their walk with Christ.
  2. The School of Ministry: Designed to prepare believers for active ministry, this programme provides practical training for those called to serve in various capacities. Whether in the pulpit, marketplace, or mission field, participants are equipped to minister effectively, bearing fruit in their unique assignments.

Through its global reach, Teleos Academy empowers Christians to become mature, impactful disciples who bring God’s kingdom to bear in every area of life. By raising a generation of saints who embody Christ and fulfill His mission, the Academy advances The Finishing Church’s vision of bringing God’s purposes to completion on earth.

First, we must understand church is not a building, a Sunday school class, or a service time. According to scripture, a church gathering is a group of people coming together in Christ and the people are the church. Jesus shows us in Matthew 18 that a gathering can be as little as two people together.

The service usually involves the singing of hymns, reading of scripture verses and possibly a psalm. If the church follows a lectionary, the sermon will often be about the scripture lections assigned to that day. Eucharistic churches have usually Holy Communion either every Sunday or several Sundays a month.

There are no rules as to what to bring to church, other than your self, an open heart and mind. Some bring a bible, if you’re going to engage in bible study.

If you want to know how to dress for church, something modest and comfortable should be fine. Generally, graphic tees that show off sports team logos or bands should never be worn to church. Solid-colored tops are fine, and even something with a pattern should be OK to wear.

Ask your friends if they have a place to worship the Savior and invite them to come worship with you, especially at times like Christmas and Easter. If they aren’t Christians, ask them if they’d like to learn more about Jesus Christ and invite them to experience a Christian worship service with you. Remember to show the same respect for their beliefs that you hope they will give yours.

There are many questions Christians are asked that the individual Christian is unable to answer. It happens all the time.
