I promised that if my son was discharged before the weekend, I would dance in thanksgiving.

Grace Held Me Strong

After FA asked us to pray for strength and grace when faith feels insufficient, I prayed sincerely—without knowing why. When he later asked us to stand and “key in,” I felt God speak directly to me and rose to my feet, baby in hand.

That very night, my second-born developed a dangerously high fever. What started as mild quickly turned severe—two emergency hospital visits, and then admission. It was terrifying; I had never seen him so ill. As I prayed Psalm 23 over him, I also wrestled with how I could manage—a hospitalized toddler, a two-month-old who was exclusively breastfed, and a six-year-old in the middle of exams, all while my new nanny fell sick.

In my exhaustion, I cried out to God. The Holy Spirit spoke to me in the shower and gave me a clear plan. He sent two friends who supported me in unexpected ways, and He provided everything we needed. I promised that if my son was discharged before the weekend, I would dance in thanksgiving. God kept His promise—our hospital stay became a sweet time of bonding, and Ezra recovered completely. His speech improved, his empathy deepened, and he now dreams of becoming a doctor. Zoë excelled in her exams, too.

But the challenges didn’t end there. My events team dwindled from nine to four people due to illness and exams, yet we had to host a 40-guest event. Even when my wrist gave way the night before, God strengthened us. Those who couldn’t come still sent in their work. Despite every setback, the event was powerful—hearts were turned to God, and His grace was evident in every moment.

I thank God for sustaining me through sleepless nights and impossible odds. It wasn’t humanly possible, but it was Godly possible. I am grateful for His strength, His grace, and the privilege to serve Him and His children.
