When God Steps in — Everything Changes

I am so delighted to share my testimony with this amazing community. Testifying is one of the ways the Lord has taught me to secure my victories in Him.

For over 10 years, I was out of professional employment after a medical leave that left me bedridden for eight months. As a result, I was laid off from my job. I tried everything — makeup, bead-making, cooking soups for pay, teaching Maths and French, writing, and editing — just to survive.

All the while, I kept applying for jobs, but all I received were rejection emails. I began to wonder if my life had already peaked — if my best days were behind me.

But this July, God turned my story around. I got an excellent job as a Language Consultant tutoring AI (Google External Workforce). The pay? Hmm… let’s just say that today, I’m being paid in dollars while living in Nigeria! At first, it seemed too good to be true — but that’s exactly how it feels when God is in the matter. He proved Himself faithful.

Yes, the salary is amazing, but my true testimony is this: God delivered me from the lie that I am not of much worth to Him — that I’m not one to experience His goodness. I now know that His Word, not my situation, is the Truth — my Truth. I have learned to wait on Him and in Him. It is God or God — no alternatives.

Just as Joel 2:25 says, “God restores the years the locust has eaten,” He is restoring all my wasted years.

My pastors, Olu and Kemi Fred-Adetiba, and this wonderful community — all of you, my siblings — have stood with me through it all. I will never forget your kindness and your unwavering support. Thank you for holding my hand and never letting go. I thank God for the gift of you. 🥹

With God, there is no plan B — because you will never need it. He never fails. Apart from Him, there is no answer and no solution. He is the Changer of the unchangeable, the One who calls those things that be not as though they were.
